Moneyball teaches us to think differently when you are cornered.

This movie is based on a biographical book written on the ex-baseball player and the current GM of the baseball team “Oakland Athletics”.
The main character Billy Beane is played by Brad Pitt. I don’t know much about baseball. Just know the meaning of strike and homerun to be precise. But this movie showed me that a strategy, or we can call it a winning strategy can be made even when you are in ruins. But sticking to that strategy and waiting for the strategy to give fruits can be painful. Brad Pitt has excelled in acting and shows us a different guy.

The story: A baseball team has lost key players and they don’t have money to buy better players. And the selection panel is taking the same old ways of selecting players from the available price list even taking consideration of the player’s girlfriend which makes Billy loose hope. He then meets an economics graduate from Yale who gives him an idea of how to choose players which Billy likes and gives him a job as assistant GM for “Oakland Athletics”. The strategy is criticized by the press and many within the team’s management because the team is on a loosing streak. Then how the team starts to win and sets a record forms the rest of the movie.

This movie is boring in some parts and it is long too. More than 2 hours. But I am going to give a good 3/5 for this movie just for the way it teaches us to think.
